Create and manage promo codes customers can apply at checkout.
Quick answer: Create discount codes under Commercial → Discount codes. A code can apply to every service and pass that accepts promo codes, or to one service, pass, or membership. Turning general promo codes off does not block a code aimed at that item.
Overview
Discount codes give customers a fixed or percentage reduction at checkout. By default a code works on every service and pass that accepts promo codes. You can instead aim it at one service, one pass, or one membership. Memberships do not accept general codes. A membership code can discount the first payment only, or every renewal, and the customer still subscribes through checkout. Turn on one use per email when each email address should be able to redeem that code only once.

By default a service accepts general promo codes. Turning that off blocks general codes only. A code aimed at that service still works, unless the service is on sale.
